Carrying a strong scent of apples, lilac/violet colorization and thornless to boot! Veilchenblau is a useful garden rose for a myriad of purposes.  Small for a rambler and it's lack of thorns lends it to walkways, walls, fences, arbors etc.

The sprays of violet fading to lilac flowers are semi-double showing a pretty sulphur yellow stamen pack when completely open.

The flexible stems are easily attached and trained to accomodate any type of garden structure.
